HistoryThe Wiebe family has been involved in
poultry production in BC since the early 50s; the first Wiebe in
poultry farming, Aaron Wiebe, was a pioneer recognized for his vision
for the poultry industry long before supply management was introduced
in British Columbia. The roots of several very successful agricultural
processing enterprises can be found in the innovative endeavors started
by Aaron Wiebe. These enterprises presently contribute approximately
350 full-time primary production jobs to the Abbotsford City economy. Rossdown Farms Ltd. was started in 1968 by Aaron's son, Dan Wiebe, Chairman of the Board, joined by his family: Dion Wiebe, President and General Manager, and Pat, Executive Assistant/Human Resources Manager

Vision
Our vision is to be a leader in the production, processing, marketing and service of poultry and related agriculture. Through innovative management and continual implementation of technical development we strive for excellence. By partnering with international equipment suppliers we are able to develop and maintain equipment customized to ensure efficiency and profitable results. Through ongoing communication with industry technicians (such as veterinarians and nutritionists) we can monitor and adapt to specific needs and opportunities in the poultry farming industry.
Human ResourcesRossdown believes in an incentive-based structure of management and labour in an environment of healthy competitiveness within all of our separate divisions to maintain a healthy level of employee job satisfaction. The inclusion of all divisional managers in weekly management meetings ensures a better understanding of overall company issues that affect each division.
We seek experienced men and women who will commit to a similar philosophy of integrity and work ethic to provide for long term growth. We believe in sharing the rewards of this model to those who contribute toward these goals.
